As expected, my pipe is different from the one pictured – but I’m happy with its looks. Same mix of finishes, stem, and angle of the shank. But the exterior my bowl has been squared slightly. It fits well in my hand, and it smokes great. Getting a Nording freeform briar for this kind of money is a great deal.UPDATE: I have found a hot spot in the briar - where they got carried away with the rustication process, apparently. There is definitely a depression there. I wouldn't be surprised if I get a burn-through there someday. Even if it doesn't, it gets VERY uncomfortable when the fire gets down to that level. I have reduced my rating for that reason.Nording pipes are among the best pipes around in both smokability and aesthetics and this review is in no way shape or form a reflection of them. Every pipe they make is distinctly different and unique one from the next and this is exactly why almost every retailer takes specific photos of the pipe you are purchasing. Beware that this is a generic photo of a beautiful pipe but this seller will send you a pipe that they feel matches the description which is ambiguous and vague at best.It took a few weeks to arrive but it Is A Beautiful pipe!The craftsmanship is excellent and I'm buying another one for my brother, because he'll steal mine once he picks it up....
